Marvel Studios Disney + shows ranked

Marvel has been on a roll recently with 6 original shows having dropped on Disney Plus in the past 18 months in order to expand the MCU. This is our attempt to rank them:

6 – The Falcon and The Winter Soldier

This shows purpose was to establish Sam Wilson as the new Captain America however the story ended up falling flat. The villains of the story were not that convincing, John Walker’s sudden turn was odd and unlike the character that we had been introduced to as well as Sharon Carter’s real identity as the power broker was easily guessed by most fans. Despite its awesome finale, it is bottom of our list.

5 – What If?

Marvel Studio’s ‘What If?’ was unlike anything that the MCU had introduced to us before and was a risk that Marvel took. Fortunately, it paid off as some episodes had really inventive storytelling, however, some did not and this was the show’s biggest problem. Originality. Some of the episodes, most notably ‘What If?: Captain Carter’ were held back by their unoriginal story. Overall, Season 1 was a mixed bag however shows promising signs and fans will be looking forward to its deserved season 2.

4 – Wandavision

A controversial pick here. However, we feel that despite ‘Wandavion’s original storytelling, it was held back by the constant changing of setting from in and out of the hex. The show’s finale was also underwhelming as of all shows, ‘Wandavision’ did not need an over-the-top CGI battle in the sky. Despite its problems, ‘Wandavision’ introduced MCU fans to Wanda becoming the Scarlet Witch and being the main antagonist of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’.

3 – Hawkeye

‘Hawkeye’ was a very fun ride set at Christmas and it gave us a great introduction to Kate Bishop, a fan favourite from the comics, as well as letting us see Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova again. ‘Hawkeye’s main problem however was its disappointing cameo of Kingpin however we’re all sure that it was just setting up another new character’s show, ‘Echo’.

2 – Loki

This fun and mysterious show had us on the edge of our seats from week to week and most fans cannot wait for season 2 to hit Disney Plus. It had gorgeous visuals, adrenaline-pumping set-pieces and loveable characters. ‘Loki’ will remain as one of the funniest, most enjoyable and most fascinating MCU properties to date.

1 – Moon Knight

You guessed it! Marvel’s latest project was one that had us hooked from the first minute until the end of the finale. This nail-biting and suspenseful thriller delved into the story of Marc Spector, who was living his life inside Steven Grant. The action choreography, directing and music in this show are some of the best that the MCU has left to offer and after Oscar Isaac’s stellar performance, fans are craving a season 2.

So, there you have it. That was our ranking of all Marvel Studios’ Disney Plus shows to date, let us know your opinion on our ranking down below.
