Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 1 Review

Obi-Wan Kenobi was a promising series in the beginning that lost its heart in the middle of it. Watching Obi-Wan I felt that it was a pure empty feeling of nostalgia that the series gives you! This was disappointing. There were some interesting ideas and themes, but overall the series is a complete mess! Some episodes are just “ok” like episode 1,2 and 3, but episode 4 is just terrible, there is nothing good about that episode in a general way of saying! The script of the series feels like it’s been written by someone from 6th grade, who isn’t aware of any of the other pieces of work that have previously been released, the same feeling that I got watching ‘THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT’ but in the other hand, the acting on the series is more than phenomenal, Ewan McGregor is such an amazing actor that you can feel what the character is feeling by only looking into his face, Hayden Christensen is AMAZING as well.

I just think that the name OBI-WAN was supposed to be more powerful, and seeing a series that treats the character like trash just makes me disappointed! When you sell a series as being the rematch of Obi-Wan against Vader and this rematch did not happen until episode 6 that really makes me sad because I do not want to watch a Reeva or even a Leia show! When you have two of the most important characters in the STAR WARS UNIVERSE (Darth Vader and Obi-Wan) and you treat them poorly, it makes you very very disappointed! The finale it’s awesome but does not make the series look good under any circumstances. Every single scene that Darth Vader pops up makes you have goosebumps but nothing that can save the series from its bad writing, and its bad directing. I’m sure they’re pressed for time, but it’s disruptive to the storytelling. I’m convinced Disney is going for quantity over quality with these series and subsequent spin-offs.

Obi-Wan Kenobi was a series with a really good potential but unfortunately went down hill really quick!
